Most people spend years wishing for “happily ever after,” when all that time spent wishing could be spent living, making. Sure, we all have our ups and downs, but it is us and us alone who choose our paths, our lives, our route to happiness. Happiness is an attitude, not a final destination. Happiness is found in moments. By definition, we can’t be happy all the time or we would never really know what happiness was. If everything felt the same all the time, what would be the joy in, well, joy? Happily ever after starts here, it stars now. You just have to stop wishing it, and choose to start believing it. Choose to start LIVING it.
Sometimes, no matter how well things seem to be going, and no matter how much you fight it, doubt creeps in. And when that happens, you have two choices: fear, or faith. You can allow fear to take hold of your mind and your actions, or you can take a breath, leave the world behind for a moment, and know, that everything happens for a reason and you cannot control the future. Don’t allow doubt to ruin your now, because after all, that’s all we really have.
Love is always patient and kind
it is never jealous
Love is never boastful nor conceited
it is never rude or selfish
It does not take offense
it is not resentful
Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins
but delights in the truth
It is always ready to excuse
to trust
to hold
and to endure whatever comes
